Bearcat Ejector Rod Housing

Finally found a decent price on a new SS Bearcat and it should be here shortly

Now I've read that the housing is made of Al on the "new" guns (2nd and 3rd gen); does anyone know if that's still the case in 2014 and if so, where I might be able to buy a stainless replacement (the only ones I've found so far are blued steel)?

Can't answer that, but I recently bought one of those little Bearcat Shopkeepers and I cut myself several times on the housing and the rod itself. It had some very sharp edges and they had to be honed down some.

I must be missing something since I can't seem to find it on their website (and their "search" option brings up nothing). I wonder if they're still making them?

I believe either, or both, Dave Clements or Hamilton Bowen has the correct ejector rod housings.

They only show blued as an option for now unfortunately. I may just email them and ask.

I mostly saw action packages (or a .22mag conversion, that's kind of neat...) They mention blued steel ERH, so I may just email them as well.

Well it arrived, and unless they can finish Al to perfectly match SSteel, make it respond to magnets and double its weight, I'm pretty sure the ERH on this new SS Bearcat is made from SSteel as well.

Manufacture date was very recent (04/07/14).

Maybe they've finally made the switch like they did w. the Shopkeeper model?
