Ruger 10/22 build

Hey guys I recently traded my marlin model 60 tube fed camo stock for a Ruger 10/22 carbine with a wood stock. I did this in hopes of being able to build it. My question is can I install a bull barrel on this gun with out to many mods. I figure I would need a new stock but before I dropped the money on the barrel i want to make sure it will work. Thanks in advance.

Absolutely and as you stated, you will have to find or fit a stock to it and maintain the Free-Float. Might add that this mod would not be at the top of my list but certainly up there. .....

God luck and;

The 10/22 is one of the easiest guns to swap barrels on. Take the action out of the stock and the v-block is held in by 2 screws. Ive swapped barrels on half a dozen. SUPER easy.

Stocks are plentiful and can be had cheap. Even triggers are not hard on this gun. Youtube vids can walk you thru any mod you wanna do.

Enjoy!!!

Jd3020 where in mo are you. I have an A&B 16 inch blued .920 target barrel and a ruger factory wood stock I inletted and refinished. It was a fantastic shooter, I just preferred the light carbine over the target mods.

I'm by st joe. I have a wood stock now but I like the synthetic and stainless but I would consider a heavy barrel blued as well.
