i would like some help to make a decision

Recently i have just started shopping for a lever action rifle. i see that marlin has a great selection. Im looking for a lever action rifle in the style of a cowboy action that will reach 300 yards with minimal drop?

I think you'd be looking for a Sharp's Rifle, not a lever action. At any rate, find yourself a really tall tang sight & then start looking for a rifle that it will fit. (Seriously, 300 yards with "minimal drop" is a pipe dream in the Black Powder Arena.)
