S&W fan
I have a 4013 TSW, a 645 , and a 411. I guess you could say I'm a Smith fan.

"Nothing wrong with a decent S&W"
Well said sir, and that is an understatement worthy of an English gentleman of a bygone era. |

Welcome to TFL. I'm a die-hard Ruger fan, but I, too, have a 645. Great gun, reliable to the extreme. The DA pull is nowhere near as good as that of the 3rd Gen models, but otherwise, no complaints.

I have a Model 745 on layaway. I'll be bringing it home this Friday (09/14/12). My father has a Model 4586 and a 4516-2. I grew up shooting Smiths - both the revolvers and autos.Good guns. Good enough that I collect Smiths now. Welcome.

Thread made me stop...
and think. After listing the guns I've had over the years, turns out I'm quite the S&W fan as well!

I have got a 66 4” stainless revolver (357mag) and four pieces of the 745 (45ACP). In the past had a 586 4” blue revolver (357mag) but sold it because I just didn’t like the lockup, loose on all chambers, and the weight and weight distribution. The 66 feels much better/lighter with precision lockup. My Colt Phyton feels better even at 6” compared to the 586.
While I’m sure S&W makes fine 9mm’s I’ve never owned one. 9mm is made by virtually every maker and I have Walther, Ruger and Glock. |

I'm a big fan of Smith & Wesson all steel semi-autos, as well as their revolvers. I'm just not a big fan of the M&P line.
