Question about arms dealers...

I'm very curious to know where arms dealers (specifically those in third world nations) find their supply of automatic weapons.

Africa, for example, is an area that is plagued with conflict among groups who recieve their tools from arms dealers, but do the arms dealers buy those weapons from that nations' government or another government nearby? Also, who builds the AK-series rifle and the guns very similar to it.

Afghanistan has a large gun maker market all its own. They can make their own aks, or you can bring in a gun and they can make a copy of it.

Soviet union should also be a large source of such guns - meaning guns that once belonged to the USSR but went into the black market after the breakup.
