Scored 2 new calibers right at the end of the year... got any good loads ???

for 35 Whelen & 7 Rem Mag ???

probably won't start loading for either till mid winter, but am collecting dies, brass & components now... you guys got some favorite loads for these 2 ???

I guess while I'm at it, I'm rebarreling my 7 X 57 Mauser... the throat was pretty bad, & factory rounds didn't group well, so I'll be doing up some loads for that cartridge as well... ( the 7 X 57 is on a '93 Mauser, that was fully "sporterized" before I bought it, it's a very nice looking rifle, with turned bolt handle, Timminy trigger, & cock on open conversion, & nice hunting stock... but it is still a 93 Mauser, so I need to keep the 7 X 57 loads pretty tame )

anyway... good hunting bullets & or powder's for these 3 if you are a fan, would be great

IMR7828 is a very good number for the 7 mag, my load was 67grs with a 150gr Nosler Partition. With a new rifle a new powder START LOW and work up as pressure signs permit. Unusually accurate in my rifle plus this is the powder used in Remington factory ammunition when the 7mm Remington mag was introduced.. William

I think I have some Nosler 150 grain bullets... the 7 mag is a custom that has a Remington 7 Mag take off barrel on it, not new, but new to me... I'm hoping to have the 7 mag running closer to hot, since the 7 X 57 will be on the tame side, because of the small ring action it's in... will of couse start tame & work my way up... thanks for the suggestions

IMR7828 and IMR4350 for 7mm RM. my best so far is:

1)Hornady 139gr BTSP Interlock
2)IMR4350 57gr I know this seems light but gives me consistently between .500-.600" groups at 100yds.
3)CCI Large rifle magnum primer
4)WIN brass
5)OAL 3.280... This gets me .03 from lands and grooves to the ogive.

I shoot this from a Remington 700 BDL.

My 7mm rem mag loves all kinds of bullets so far, my next purchas will be Barnes TTSX and the LRX.
IMR 7828, IMR 4831, IMR 4350, are my top powders and I've tried H1000, H4831sc, Winchester Supreme 780, H4350.
When I load 160 grn Accubonds I use the IMR 7828, I use the IMR 4831 for 140 grn Accubonds, and 150 grn B-Tips. I use the IMR 4350 for the 150 grain Partition bullet, all these different bullet and powder combos shoot less than 3/4 MOA at 100 yds, to the same poi mostly.

Also I don't have the 35 Whelen, But I would try the bullet manufactures manual.
