will it work if i

If i took a .22lr rimfire cartridge and pulled the bullet out and put it in my .22 airgun would it work better worse or the same.


the gun shoots at 450 fps

i would use a 30 grain bullet.

REMEMBER just the bullet not the whole casing.

It might work but I doubt it,,,

According to this site,,,
The weight of .22 caliber pellets average around 13 to 15 grains.

A 30 grain .22 bullet is twice that.

Assuming the air would push it down the barrel,,,
Not knowing the exact diameter of either,,,
You would suffer a lot of velocity loss.

I don't get it -v.22lr is scarce and expensive, .22 air rifle pellets are cheap and everywhere

in canada there is plethoras of .22lr every place you go you can find bricks. there is no shortage
