45 Colt

can 45 Colts be loaded with jacketed bullets? I ask because I tried some Winchester cowboy action 45 Colt loads and they really leaded stuff up. I'd like to load 45 Colts because they didnt recoil alot and my friends liked it better, I even had fun with them but I prefer the full power Casull loads.

Yes. There are commecially avaibale .45 Colt FMJs and JHPs. For one example, go to Georgia Arms' "canned heat".

The 45 " long '' COLT!!!!
Yes, there are many jacketed bullets that work fine in 45COLT handloads. The Sierra, Speer, and Hornady bullet companies all make jacketed bullets for the 45COLT and have tested data for these bullets at two pressure levels.
