It's a little high but not too bad, considering you are not paying the shipping or the hazmat to get it. The last time I bought it I think I paid about $18. But that was a dealer price and I had to pay $30 in shipping and hazmat. It is not an easy powder to find because many people like it and prices of all reloading supplies are on the rise. If I wanted more 231, I would pay that. My dealer charges $30 for any powder, minimum.

that is pretty well on par with the pricing I have found on just about any powder within 100 miles of Monticello, AR. some are more, some are less, but i would say that is a safe average price these days

I've paid anywhere from 22.50 up to 27 at the local gun stores and gun shows. (charleston sc). I've not bought that particular powder, but most I've seen are in that range.

$21/lb last time I checked. However, I haven't seen any on a shelf for quite some time.
I know where I can get it, but don't have a need for more.

If you can find it in a 4-lb or 8-lb keg you will do better.
That's a big if these days. Buying in 1-lb cans, that price seems about right...at least, that's I'm paying here in North Texas (and happy to find it). |
