Taurus Raging Judge Magnum?
Has anyone seen this cannon yet? The Taurus Raging judge magnum looks versatile. It says in thier website that you can get 45 colt, 454 casull, 3 inch and 2.5 inch shot shells into it.
What else could you fit into there? 45 rimmed? 460 S&W magnum? Also what if i were to send it off to gemini customs and have them machine in a groove for moon clips. Then the 45 ACP would function in there as well. Is there more? Or less? The cool factor of this gun seems pretty high if it can do all these things. |

Where are you getting your information? There's nothing on the Taurus website about a Judge that will safely fire .454Casull.

If I want a .454 Casull, I'll pick up a used SRH Alaskan for the same price, thank you very much.

I usually stray away from Taurus threads because it usually just boils down to people bashing Taurus, and I don't really care for that. But how in the world did they come up with the name "Raging Judge Magnum". It's like they just combined all the awesome words they could to name the new Judge. It takes alot to bother me....that name bothers me. It's like if Ruger comes up with a new version of the Super Blackhawk and calls it the "Super Duper Blackhawk".

Yea,the name game Taurus is playing is certainly not helping the opinion of their handguns.
And they do some great looking stainless styling work on their barrels and stamp these hideous billboard style graphics on the sides of those barrels. Some of thier graphics work is wonderful like was on my PT 101 stainless 40 smith and also on my Model 85,in fact on all of my Model 85's. But some ,you just have to look at and wonder. |

I know there are alot of people on here who dont like taurus and there not my favorite, but i do own a judge(shot it again yesterday)and it has never given me a problem. Infact i love the "judge" line and think there very inovative and fun guns. I am very interested in that judge carbine/rifle and will buy one if i can find one. Looks like the carbine/rifle is made by Rossi not taurus, although it is obviously a "judge",but then taurus does own Rossi so im not suprised. I cant wait to have one of those! It looks sooo cool

Very interesting.
I definitely would not attempt to shoot .460 out of it.

Hey CHIEFMUZZ - Dude, did you say super duper blackhawk? COMEDY! I agree with you on the Taurus bashing, I own 2(.357 and .22 wheel guns) both with thousands of rounds through them and they are accurate, reliable, no misfires, no factory time. Agreed the SUPERDUPERJUDGE is a lame ass name, but you know you want one! Shoot I want 2! One pistol in 6" and one of the "long gun" versions. One word... SICK!

I'm not a Taurus basher, but I probably won't buy one. I just love my Rugers. I have a SRH 454 so I am not even tempted to buy the SuperFlamingJudgeUltraMagnum....

Nope. Avoid.
I own a judge magnum.
Imagine a 454 Casull slamming into the forcing cone after 1.5 inches of no guidance (excepting forward momentum). No hand grenades here thank you. I'll be waiting a year or so until these prove themselves. Will own one if they make it through...

LOL @ the guard on the carbine! instead of getting powder burns on your arms it deflects it towards your FACE! Genius! That and it looks really stupid (guard that is)

I have had many taurus firearms over the years but this is one i will pass on.Even the regular judge I have heard has serious accuracy problem and I dont see the point in firing a 454 at 7 yards.

I like the look of the "Circuit Judge" image linked above, but I don't like the fiber-optic-orange front sight. I would just prefer a traditional iron sight... Does anyone who owns a judge have anything to say for it's accuracy?
