can you shoot a rifled slug down a rifled bore,or can you only use a smooth bore for rifled slugs.

OK, here we go again....

Each shotgun is a law unto itself about what ammo it "Likes". There's no sure way of telling short of benching the weapon and shooting groups.

As a loose rule, full rifled bbls work best with sabots and vice versa. Forster type rifled slugs seem to work best in smoothbore or rifled choke tube weapons. But, there's lots of exceptions.

Test and zero your weapon with the ammo of choice,only take shots within the capabilities of both yourself and the weapon, and good luck...
