Last year I bought a bunch of Nosler premium jacketed handgun bullets to load for .357 magnum, they were listed at .357 diameter, I discovered I couldnt get a reliable crimp without using a Lee factory crimp die, because they were .3555 in diameter, when I called them they said crimp them harder thats the size we make.:barf:

I've weighed and measured bullets from Speer, Hornady, Sierra, Winchester, and Nosler over the years and they all have small variances. It's called Manufacturing, not Perfection.

Assuming...
I'm assuming this inaccuracy of diameter is what makes the Rem. Golden Saber's bulge some of the cases that are properly resized.....
It's not all, but you can definately see the bullet base through the case. Oh well, GS's are impossible to get anyway! God bless you all. Margiesex And remember: Hug your God and your guns - 'cause he's coming for them both - and soon! |

I've never looked at a Golden Sabre out of the case, but don't they have a fatter tail, driving band or whatever they call it?

Yes, the Golden Sabre bullet design is with a wider "driving band" and will show a bulge on reloads. (At least in 9mm and 45acp.)
