Beretta Model 1934 Recoil Spring Guide Rod

Should the recoil spring guide rod in a Beretta Model 1934 made in 1941 be blued or stainless?

It was blued. They weren't using stainless steel in guns in 1941. (With one exception that I know of, the gas cylinder of the M1 (Garand) rifle.)
