This is why you have to do it while you are young!!!

Not the biggest gator but as you can tell from Skip's condition the gator, and the smaller one ( 8' 3" ) that is already in the bottom of the boat, were about enough for two old guys.

If it was not for the fact that we are both kind of scrawny ( The gator weighed almost 100# more than the two of us together ) and if we did not have 115 years between us it'd not be much of a thing........but getting old sucks!!

Trust me.......do it, whatever "it" is, while you are young. And then store up the knowledge so your brain can pick up the slack once the back goes. If you end up both wore out and dumb like we are life will be tough.

Time to invest in some block and tackle buddy. I understand they've invented electric powered pulleys.

Not a day goes by at work where I don't thank god for the invention of the wheel. The lever and the inclined plane get blessed on a less regular basis.

Getting old beats the alternative. Getting bigger is mandatory, but growing up is optional. My own claim to fame is pushing adolescence beyond all previous limits.

That reminds me of the real estate advice my grandfather gave me: Get lots while you're young.
