LimbSaver recoil pad?.

Hello all.

I want to replace my stock recoil pad on my Mossberg 500A with "slip on" recoil pad from LimbSaver, they are three different size listed.

How do I measure the one that I have?, measuring the butt end with the pad off or measure the pad itself?, which end? (butt stock end or shoulder end?)

The stock pad must removed prior to put the slip on one on?.

Thanks.

Hmm, no one seems to be answering your question.

Two things. As for the Limbsaver, measure the height of the stock butt since that is how the 'saver will fit on. I don't have a 500, but I'm guessing a large. If in doubt, just unscrew the stock and bring it in to the store to be sure.

Second, have you checked out the Knoxx Industries stocks? Might want to consider one of those.

I don't have that slipon, but I did mount a Limbsaver on the 870 I use with heavy goose loads and such. Works very well.

Most of the time, taking off the old pad before adding the slipon is best.

HTH....

I'd go with the last posters idea of removing the old pad first.

Measure the rear of the stock from top down to the toe and write it down. Then measure side to side at the widest point.

Look on Limbsavers site and find the pad that falls within your measurements.
