After that I was thinking of a non 1911 .45 maybe. xdm 5.25 g21 gen 4 sig 220 or sig mk25 9mm ppq - but have a Caracal and love it so might wait on the Wahlter. oh and a revolver like s&w governor or Taurus judge. too manyoptions |

H&K USPC. Trying to decide on a 9 or a 40 at this point.....don't currently have a 40, and would like to. And at the moment 40 ammo doesn't cost much more than 9mm anyway.....

next handgun
Economic plus reliability choice for me. Ammo is hard to find and getting even harder around here. 160 miles round trip to nearest loading supplies and thier shelves are pretty bare. I have enough in stock to load 9mm and .40 for quite awhile. So my next will most likely also be my last (age wise). I'd really like a 45 but that's more brass, lead and so on.
I recently bought an FNS 40 and within a week it became my favorite of forever. While getting is OK I'm thinking an FNS 9. Then I'll sit back and enjoy 2 mistresses. I have no plans on moving to California, New York and no interest in what Obama wants. Retired LEO, former Nam veteran, and 20 more years at DOD. I get to fish, go to the range, and tell em "nope, sold em all". And depend on all you guys to keep my rights and protect me from being a criminal. I really like my FNS and folks have said to bury your guns to keep them safe... maybe my lady will let me take it with me? Then too, maybe she'll keep em.... |

A Browning Buckmark Challenger is my primary target at this time. I've been looking for the right one for about 3 years now. If a 2nd generation Colt Peacemaker in .45 Colt happened to appear for the rght price, I might be dissuaded but my eyes are on the Challenger for now.

My next handgun is likely a ways off, but I'm thinking either a Glock 19 or perhaps an XD of some flavor in 9mm.

Just got it yesterday: Cabela's "Outfitter" S&W M29 4" blued .44 mag. Came with nice rounded wood grips and Hogue rubber grips. It was a good price and the last one in the store. Beautiful.
This replaces a custom 4" Redhawk I traded away long ago. Feels great in the hand. My max load 300 gr days are past so looking forward to shooting up my long stored supplies for .44 Special and mid-range magnum loads. Save the full house loads for occasional range and woods carry. |

#1 - Still waiting for the Ruger SR1911s to be found here in Omaha. One of these days perhaps.
#2 - wanting a Sig P938 to go with my P238. But.... While I was waiting.... I happened to be in the local BX and spotted a Sig SS 1911. When they still had it the following week I pulled the trigger on it and took it home.

Either an LCP or a small 9mm for pocket carry. Leaning LCP right now, since concealability is the most important factor.

An XDS would be nice, what with this benighted state finally slated to get CCW. But, I really don't need anything.

I'd really like to get my hands on an FNS-40 (or 9, really depends on which I find first because I like both calibers a lot). Unfortunately, they aren't on the DOJ list of approved handguns here in Cali, so I'll have to wait until I get stationed somewhere else.

For some reason I would like to pick up a first generation Glock 17, mostly for nostalgic reasons. Going to wait and see if the panic every dies down so I can get it cheap!

I try every year or so in hopes that the Glock frame will be a comfortable fit to my hand. Maybe this time I'll try a Gen 4. Really want a 19, but I refuse to buy a gun that just doesn't feel right in my hand when I pick it up at the LGS. I haven't given up yet.

Don't really know, got much everything I want, maybe a M9, or a NAA. Doubt that though, just probably M9. Really trying to save money for other things, though another rifle sounds good.

Glock 26 Gen 4... on backorder, but the good news is the Glock design is simple enough that Glock is able to produce many guns quickly, as opposed to manufacturers that make many variations of the same gun who have to make batches of all the different configurations*couch*SIG*couch*. No hate here though. I’m getting a SIG next.

Went to the city yesterday, picked up some more powder, turned out 180 mile round trip. Had a hard time finding what I even needed. Stopped by local gun shop on way home and he recieved in 4 FNH's. My next gun was supposed to be later, not sooner, but became NOW. FNS9 to go with FNS40. If it's as good as the .40... won't need another one in my lifetime.
Don't know what the laws are going to change to, but have no interests in CA and at my age if they change, I most likely won't anyway. If voters in CA let thier elected officials keep taking, then it's thier fault for not voting right, and you can change that by getting involved and making sure you get the right folks elected. Easy for me, I don't live there. But it sure is sad when you can't buy what you want... in America! No interests in New York either. |
