Berdan primer question

I know that in this country, reloading berdan primered brass is not feaseable. I was wondering how the rest of the world reloads them. I have looked at quite a bit of fired rounds, and notice that alot of times there is only one out of the two holes drilled for the flame, and sometimes when there is two, they are not straight across from each other. Wouldn't there be a problem when pushing out the spent primer? Is there any such thing as a "European" die set, something that would push out these primers? Just curious. Thanks

Usually when reloading berdan brass a sharp punch is used to pearce the primer from the outside. Then it is levered out or pulled out. RCBS made a tool for pulling berdan primers, don't know if they still do you'll have to look on their web site. The major problem is getting berdan primers, the big bore double rifle shooters always have this problem of primers.

So other than finding the actual primer, all other actions during the reloading process, can be done with standard dies? Are Berdan primers smaller or larger than Boxer?

If you pull the berden primers, can you reload a shell with the primers we have available here in the USA?
