Question about Lee primer feeders
I have just started purchasing reloading equipment. I have the Lee Classic Turret, Lee Carbide dies for 40 S&W, and The Lee Powder Measure so far.
I have ordered the Lee Reloading Manual but have not received it yet. As far as the primer feeder goes, do I need the large or small primer feeder for 40 S&W? Also, what other hardware do I need to pick up besides primers, powder, brass & bullets? I will only be loading 40 S&W for quite some time. Somebody mentioned I needed some kind of riser if I'm going to use the primer feeder. Does anybody have the Lee part # for that riser? Thanks in advance for everybody's help. Chaney |

.40 S&W uses small pistol primers.

And you will probably want a tumbler for cleaning your brass. I got this kit from Cabela's and have been very happy.
What about a powder scale? I don't see that in your list. I wasted $30 on a cheap digital scale -- don't make the same mistake; they're crap. Not to ride Cabela's bandwagon too much, but I now have this scale from Cabela's, made by RCBS. It's been great for me so far. |

Going to pick up the Lee Safety Scale for now. I need to get this going on a tight budget. Later on as funds are a little more available I will upgrade certain things.
