Longshot and the 40 S&W
Anyone had much luck with longshot and the 40S&W.
I was out testing out new loads and tried the following: P9Ultra 155 berry RN with 8.0 grns of Longshot, cci500 primers, Starline brass, 1.132 COL, 996+ 661- 335e 849m 104s. The 13th rnd squibbed (plenty of unburnt powder in the barrel) and stuck the bullet. MD96 155 berry RN with 8.0 grns of Longshot, cci500 primers, Starline brass, 1.132 COL, 1094+ 919- 175e 1040m 75s. You could easily feel the difference in recoil in the loads and during recoil, unburnt powder was thrown all over the place during ejection. I worked the loads up using my rcbs powder dispenser so the weight was weighted for every charge. This was also new brass. I would venture to say the loads were probably to light to start with, your thoughts?

Take a look at the data at http://www.hodgdon.com/ They list from 8.5 to 10 grains for a 155gr XTP, so yes you are a little light.
I did some work with Longsgot last summer using Nosler 135 and 150gr bullets, and have since settled on the 135gr Nosler with 10.8gr Longshot, and CCI 500 primers, It clocks in at 1450fps from My Beretta 96fs, and the best group I've gotten is 2.5"@25yds. I posted some of my initial results last year: http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...light=longshot
