Guys my dad is looking to buy a new shotgun w/ a 3 1/2 chamber. He likes the benelli nova but we have heard there are some problems with parts breaking. Has anyone experienced any of these problems or heard about them? Also does it take benelli forever to fix a gun if u send it in to them? I really need to know what to tell him. It is either the Benelli or a browning but the browning cost more and doesn't look as neat. thanks

Not really an answer to your question but if your dad is left-handed the Browning pump will probably suit him better. The Browning has downward ejection and a tang safety (as opposed pushbutton) that is easily ambidextrious.
I've only handled the Nova once or twice and came real close to buying one but I bought a used Savage 99 for my dad instead (last year's Christmas present).

i bought a Nova a couplke of months ago

it seems like a well made machine

the trigger lock mechanism is a removeable box full of small thin parts

as long as you dont attempt to disassemble the trigger group, i doubt you will have any problems
