Rings for Redfield Scope
I recently purchased the T/C Compass from Cabelas; the $220 all-in, post-tax price lured me into finding out if I like 6.5 Creedmoor. The rifle comes with factory bases installed. I have a new Redfield 4x12x40mm scope to mount on it.
In your experience, do you have a go-to for rings? Is there any reason not to go with Redfield rings that I can get for about $9 on Amazon vs. the nicer offerings from other manufacturers in the mid $20 range? |

Come's to think's like that, I like to get what look's nice to me. Anyone would have a hard time convincing me that utility wise one brand of rings is much better than another. I have an old set of Redfield verticle split ring's that have been on my 30-06 since 1945, they work and look great. Rings have but one job, hold the scope in place.
