I have a Hornady Lock & Load on order and am wondering if there is any reason lee powder through expanders won't work with it in 9 40 30 carbine and 45

As long as you're not using a an expander driven powder measure, like the Dillons, I don't see why not? The lee dies are a little short for some presses, leaving little room for the locking nut, but you can call Lee and ask, I'm sure.

I instead suggest the Lyman 'M' drop-through dies, as they are threaded to take a powder measure.
