7-30 waters loads

I am getting a 7-30 waters barrel for my contender. I am looking for load info using a 120 gr. hornady v-max . I have several powders already IMR4895, IMR4320, IMR4350, and Reloader 15 Thanks in advance for any suggestions

The faster of the 4 you have, the 4895 and the RL-15 are the ones you will have the best luck with. In mine, I settled on IMR 4895 with the 120 ballistic tip. I get 2350 fps or so from a 14 inch contender.

With a 3X9 burris LER scope, I can keep five shots under an inch at 100 yds.

When you get to the spherical (ball) powders stick to BLC2, H335 and WW 748. I loaded some with BLC2 and the 120 Sierra a couple years back and they darn near went into 1 hole at 100. CB.

I've had very good results with the Hornady 120 gr SST and WW748 in my 14" Contender.
