Colt all-American 2000
Let me start by saying I am by no means a gunsmith but I am asked to fix some firearms for people from time to time around our small town. A guy asked me to fix his colt all-American 2000 and when I got it disassembled the top of the trigger was broke. I called around and can't find anybody that currently makes this part and didn't know if any of you know were I could get one or if it's a lost cause. Thanks for the help.

My first move would be to contact Colt and see if they'll still repair the All American 2000.
They won't sell you parts, they reserve them for their own use. If they will work on it, send it in and let the experts fix it. If not, you can try for parts (not likely) here: http://www.jackfirstgun.com/ Have to call. http://www.coltparts.com/pt_dasemiauto.html http://www.parts4guns.com/ Click on COLT....WAIT for it to load. Trigger is listed....... for $90.00. This is why you ask Colt to fix it. |

This should do the trick for $31 if Colt won't do it:
