Standard 870 Wingmaster Mag. Capacity
Is there a plug in the mag. tube of a 870 Wingmaster . If there is what is the mag. tube capacity if it was removed?

Some of mine came with the plug. Others didnt. With the plug, magazine capacity is 2. Without the plug, it's 4. Adding or removing the plug takes about 10 seconds.

They should all come with plugs - limiting it to 2 shells in the mag ( per hunting regulations ) but if you remove the plug it should allow for four 2 3/4" shells / or 3 3" shells ( but don't shoot 3" shells in a gun unless it is chambered for 3" shells ).

with the plug in capacity is 2 in the mag 1 in the chamber.
with the plug removed capacity is 4 in the mag, except if they are 3 1/2" shells then that would be 3 shells, and 1 in the chamber. now with the plug removed you can put 4 2 3/4" or 4 3" shells in the mag,and 1 in the chamber. or mix it up. it will still hold 4 just as long as they are 2 3/4" or 3" . not 3 1/2". its important to know whether or not the shotgun, barrel is a 2 3/4", 3",3 1/2" chamber. you don't want to shoot shells that are longer than recommended by the manufacturer.
