Sloppy Mag Fit in AK47
There is enough play when the mag is inserted that the mag rattles. Any suggestions on how to get tighter tolerances? Thanks

I have several pre-ban and the lattest , Romanians, Chinese,
Bulgarian, and all rattle some, as long as they feed and fire don't fret, its the nature of the beast. |

Thanks for the replies. Someone suggested to me to place the mag well in a padded vice and "adjust" it to my specs. It worked great.

The looseness in the mag well is part of the design to compensate for magazines that are out of spec.
As a point of comparison, I've heard numerous complaints from AR series users that have trouble inserting or having drop free "mil spec" or aftermarket magazines. Never heard such a complaint about AKs. Noban |
