Would a Winchester 61 or 63 be more fun?
I finally settled on buying a very nice Winchester 22 rifle, either a 63 or 61...I'm curious as to opinions which might give me more shooting pleasure, I used to have a 62 many years ago...???

I prefer the model 61, it is also available in 22magnum(about 1960). The later 61's (from about 1957) are grooved for a scope. all the magnums are grooved. its a strong solid pump with a good design and its a takedown. Plus the 61 can handle short and long as well as LR, the model 63 is for LR.

Thats like saying which girl is prettier the blond or redhead. Both these guns a pre 64 Winchesters. No potmetal castings, stamped tin parts or plastic. Milled steel from billots of quality American steel, machined one part at a time, and American walnut stock. Either one will last multiple generations. Pick the one that feels good to you, you cant go wrong.
