Sights for vented rib barrel
I found this tower post sight that I think just might fit onto my vented rib barrel. Here it is... http://www.opticsplanet.net/leapers-...y-mnt-750.html What do you guys think? I know it's for a weaver rail btw.

I think if I cut out a little piece of rubber that fit the bottom of the post sight I could tighten it down. I have never had any accesories that attach to a picatinny rail so I don't know for sure. It looks like those sharp sides would hook right over the vented rib. Maybe would have to mod it a little bit idk.. Or maybe I'm just being dumb lol.

Why do you want to elevate your front sight so much... does your gun now shoot extremely high? If not, if you raise the front sight, then you'll have to get a high rear sight, too... then your stock will be too low. Aiming with the high sights, and your face off of the stock to get an alignment, may result in a unpleasant surprise in the nature of redistributed recoil.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. |

Quite a bit too wide at the base... that fits a picatinny rail which is twice as wide as a rib.
Couldn't get me to put a tall or fragile device on the muzzle of my guns... woods guns would see vines and sticks grabbing it and in defense it would be walls and lampshades. Brent |
