problem with my nna .22mag mini revolver.

its from the 90s but i never shot it much. sometimes when cocking it will lock up half way, i release pressure and recock just fine. any simple quick fix to this?

check to see if it does it without ammo in the cylinder... that way you can at least rule out the possibility of high rims or bullet noses dragging...

Whatever you do, don't try to disassemble it yourself unless you're smarter than the average bear. I took mine apart to clean it and couldn't put it back together so I took it to my local gunsmith. After cleaning and reassembly he threatened me with bodily harm if I took it apart again.

Agree with Royal Barnes, do not take the sideplate off, it will go boing and shoot out a spring.

Hmmm. I have a naa from the nineties. It locked up, hammer fell between chambers. Dented the hammer. Hammer couldn't hit ammo after that. Ordered a hammer. Opened pistol. Can't put back together. Naa charges you extra if you take it apart. Mine sits in a paper bag now. I won't buy another one.

i'll call them if the problem continues. i took off the grips and cylinder and sprayed it down with gun scrubber and didn't put any oil. it works great so far.

but it did seem very dirty.

went shoot it today and it worked fine. after the 5 shots i left the empty shells in and dry fired it about 3 times and i heard a snap! it does not work and i hear something bouncing around in the handle.

i'll give them a call. does the customer pay shipping or repairs in this case?

That would be the mainspring, in two pieces, rattling around. I broke one once. The biggest heaviest spring in the gun. NAA fixed it for free as I recall.

I'll soon be testing NAA's customer service. I have a .22/.22WRM Blackwidow that has a problem with the cylinder latch creeping out as I fire causing a lockup. It seem to me that the spring of the little ball-socket detent that retains the latch is weak or the socket needs to be drilled deeper. The gun is surprisingly accurate and even with the oversize grip is very concealable as a backup piece. Would like to get it back in action, but I've been overseas for the last 16 years and haven't had a chance to send it in during bi-annual two or three week leaves in CONUS. I'll be back for good in March and hope to get it done.

I found my NAA. 22mag Pug to be ammo sensitive It works fine with CCI magnums but consistently locks up with Winchester. The company used to have on their website that their guns worked with all brands of ammo even though they knew that wasn't true. My gun had a note in the box that said not to use PMC ammo. When I called them about my problem with the gun locking up, they said to switch to CCI. I did and have had no trouble since.

NAA fixed my Black Widow for free. They recut the frame and replaced the cylinder pin with one with a recessed stop. No more problems after that. I played to have them fit a 22lr cylinder while they had the gun. GR8 service.

Backspring breaks, a while back naa had a bad batch, so many broke. I called and they sent one n/c. Only have to take off grip to replace. Great people to deal with.
