There are several airguns being sold in the U.S. with integral suppressors. I assume that the manufacturers convinced the BATF that the suppressors could not be removed, or that if they were removed they would be useless as firearm silencers.

If you buy a suppressor or make a suppressor that can operate as a firearm supressor (regardless of what you intend to use it for--or even if you never intend to use it at all) then you are committing a felony unless you have complied with federal & state laws the govern the purchase, manufacture & possession of silencers.

I can not find anything in the Florida regs that says you can not use airguns to hunt with. The only requirement is no rimfire for deer. It says that rifles are legal for taking game animals. Airguns have rifled barrels so they should be legal for squirrels and such and even deer for that matter.

Large cal pellet guns???

Is there really such a thing? And if so what kind of power do these things produce? I've been considering a 22 pellet gun as a bug out survival rifle since space and weight would be an issue.

FWIW you can hunt in Nevada without a license

http://www.ndow.org/hunt/index.shtm

"Unprotected species like coyote and black-tailed jackrabbit may be hunted without a hunting license by both residents and nonresidents, but a trapping license is required to trap them."
