Installed a new tapered front sight on an old Mosin Nagant.
This is a type 53 carbine I bought as a basket case. For whatever reason the previous owner removed the bayonet lug tube and front sight. I bought a cheap aluminum set screw type tapered sight off ebay. Might have to eventually invest in the Brass Stacker set screw base and an original sight. The one I bought is huge. It reminds me of rifle sight for a shotgun. It looks a little weird but I will have to see how it shoots.
