I don't have a husband, but my wife's husband has a G17 for standard ccw and house needs.

I actually use my wife's Ruger SR9. I wanted to use something that she is comfortable with.

If I am on the main level of the house, Glock 19 and if upstairs 12 GA or AR.

For some reason I just saw this thread now. I thought it was a little odd, but knowing what I do about pax, I read the link first.

Bravo. Well done.

Wanted to post, but could not find, a link to an audio file of the Hickory Dickory Dock, the coda to the Three Stooges theme. It always reminds me I shouldn't take myself too seriously. Here is the next best thing I have found: http://www.televisiontunes.com/Three...%28The%29.html. The Hickory Dickory Dock is easy to find.

Now, about a staff member allowing anyone to use an administrator account and log in, much less the likes of Gunhilda, has Mr. Lucibella learned of this?

(I do miss those shifting sigline quotes. Always on target!)

My wife's not a member of TFL, so I'll answer ... my nightstand gun for years has been a Springfield Loaded 1911. It kind of won the slot by default because it's the only gun I own with night sights, but I love shooting it and it's very accurate at household distances.

I'm one of those folks who has guns in a few other rooms as well, mostly revolvers, but the 1911 is my go-to gun if the beagle starts barking at 2am.

My side of the bed has a M&P .40 with night sights and she has her LC9. Backup is a 12ga 870 with a police special barrel and home defense loads. First line of defense are 3 large noisy dogs!

30 gen 4,.45 cal./230grain Speer golddot HP. I would turn to whichever one best fit the situation, but both are excellent. The link was funny!

I am the weapon; my gun is a tool. It's regrettable that with some people those descriptors are reversed.
