Answer is yes, There are people who excavate the berms with backhoes and haul the bullet laden dirt away for processing and bring in refill dirt all in the same day.
The people who do it call it mining. Prcessing what is removed is similar to panning, washing, & sifting as fine dirt/sand is washed away and all that remains are bullets. The mined bullets are sold outright or further refined by melting down and separate into individual elements or metals. |
