Sig 1911?

Both my daughter and sil have Sig 1911's and both had extracter failures in fewer than 1000 rounds. One extracter broke and one bent. It would seem to me that when you spend that kind of money you could expect longer issue free service.

Lol I wish I knew man! You still remember that? I'm implying my SIG 1911 being better than my Gold Cup for that reason.

If someone knocks on my SIG 1911 not being a "real 1911" I hand then my $1,200 Gold Cup and various hollow points and say "here try this" cause it won't work.

I still have no clue why the darn thing doesn't feed JHP's

I understand your post now...Aww man, I was hoping that you got it running.

Well, glad you have a good Sig 1911.

I own the Sig C3 CT Edition. I love it. I own a couple of Colts, a Springfield and. S&W. the Sig is as food as any of the ones I own. The S&W is still my favorite(I love the scallops on the frame), but shooting wise the Sig is more accurate than my others. I will see if I feel the same when the Sig has a few thousand rounds through it like my others. I think my consensus will remain the same.

Me too...can't wait till it is up and running already. First I'm getting my 70 series worked on it fed anything and everything. Just had extractor problems which is also getting fixed. The smith sent me a progress pic. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355680062.371984.jpg

Thankfully I have the SIG lol. Ok. Sorry to the temporary hijack!

I did change the "ergonomic grip" because I thought I liked it. And I still do. But I have big hands, much prefer the regular grips.
Interesting observation in that I too have larger than average hands but prefer the "E2" configuration. One reason might be that I found it easier to access the paddles on a light/laser that I installed with the more "ergonomic grip".

Y'all have got me wanting one now...but which? Scorpion, nitron rail, tacops...Grrr.
Not to add to your choice selection frustration but you might want to consider the TTT model. I love the "tactical-sized" adjustable rear sight on this model and the fact that the pistol comes with night sights. My SIG 1911 is very nicely finished and so far has functioned flawlessly. I think SIG makes the best 1911 pistol for the buck available in today's market.

Me too. I have several Sigs but not a 1911 Sig. Which one to buy would be the question.

@dave2

From what I've seen, heard and read, you would most likely be happy, with which ever model Sig 1911 you like the looks and feel of best.
