whats up with odd shaped firing pin on my new pistol

Im really new to auto pistols. but i have to ask why does my glock have a rectangle shaped firing pin? simular of rimfire. Are all glock pistols like this? strange thing is, im a reloader and have really never noticed this on used spent brass cases that i have picked up and cleaned lately, i guess i overlooked this.

That is completely normal for a Glock firing pin

I'm surprised you haven't come across any spent casings like that but its probably a good thing because if I am correct you are not supposed to reload spent shells from Glocks

So I can look at it and tell if it was fired from an unsupported cylinder.

Unless the case shows signs of excessive bulging, there is no reason at all why you cannot resize and reload cases fired in a Glock. (Some Glocks seem to allow cases to bulge more than they should and working that brass in a sizing die could weaken it further.)
