Some help please

i just recently bought a winchester ranger m120 12GA from a friend and ended up breaking a flat metal piece that fits under the bolt, the shell i believe sits on it when firing it, i dont know what its called, but i feel bad 'cause i just bought it. If any one know's where i can buy one at please let me know i would appreciate it.

sounds like the shell lifter, as the shell comes out of the magazine, it lifts it into the breech. try brownell's or midway usa, they will have part drawings so you can properly identify it.

The piece the shell "sits on" is typically the carrier aka lifter aka elevator common to pump and auto loading shotguns. However this piece is independent of the bolt and contoured to receive shells from the magazine. Winchester uses a bolt design incorporating a bottom piece, the cocking handle bridge, that could be described as flat. Here's a Ranger exploded diagram and parts list, click here.
