Interpreting Italian proof marks

Italian made cap and ball sixguns have a variety of markings that denote the year of manufacture, the proof houses where it was tested and the manufacturers name or logo. In this video I'll show you how to interpret the various marks to gain useful knowledge about your firearm.

A suggestion: it's often better to leave the object still and use the camera's zoom to create a close shot of a feature. The gun moving around makes it a bit difficult to see what you're highlighting.

To me that was a great video, printed a copy of the date list and been checking my guns out. Thanks for posting that.
