Powder Lot # Question

Does IMR run 1 lb.and 8 lb. containers off of the same run?

The reason I ask is because I shot a powder this afternoon that I really like, and I want to get an 8 lb. container with the same lot #.

My dealer just got in 2 cases of 1 lb. containers and 1 case of 8 lb. containers, and the chances of them having the same lot from the factory are pretty good considering he orders directly.

Thanks.

I do not know wherther or not 1# and 8# contaiers come from the same lot. Since most of the IMR powders are made in Canada, and Hodgdon only repackages the powders, there is a good chance they will be from the same lot. Whether or not those powders were shipped together is a toss up.

You need to take your container to the store and compare the numbers.
