357 180 Gr

I would like to try a heavy bullet for metal silhouettes. I can take down the pigs and turkeys with 158 gr bullets but the Rams laugh at me, when I can hit them. Any thoughts on using the Remington 180 Gr Semi_JHP in a S&W revolver. I have never loaded anything heavier than the 158 for my revolvers. Saw them on Special in the Midway flyer this month

How would this round perform in a Marlin lever action.

List data for them. I don't know if they will work in the Smith or not the COL may be to long. It's in the #11 book and may be in the new one.

I've fired a few different 180s in my Smith 686 with good results.

how hot are you loading your 158 gr. magnums?? you could try loading down a little and use lead bullets to get more dwell time on the rams.........just a thought..........

What the new loading books have done to it. #11 old Speer book 125 jhp bluedot 16.3 . New Speer book 13 grains weak I tell you. Just used it as an example don't use the data.

Their reloading data is excellent and their accuracy claims are valid. I tried their bullets and data and have gotten similar results. Basically H110 is the powder to get. Use a max load and play with primers.
