Reaming dies?

I've been looking for a set of 280 Rem Ackley Improved dies and while there are some sets avaible I was wondering if its possible to use a chamber reamer to ream the dies as well as the chamber? Anyone had any experience with this sort of work? All feedback/information will be welcome.

I have a retired tool & die guy that I believe has done this several times, but I don't know any of the specifics... ( I'm sure some brands are harder steel than others, obviously hardened components carbide, nitride, etc. would create problems )

Asked this same question on the HighRoad reloading board and was told that actually need two differnt reamers, with the die reamer being slighjtly smaller than the chamber reamer allowing the brass room to spring back.

I've had dies made from chamber reamers neck and seater then use body die for sizing. I'm having dies made for my 270Wby not sure on the FL sizer yet.

I was lucky on the 280AI as Wilson makes arbor neck and seater then got body die from Redding.

I always send RCBS 4 fired cases and they make my dies from them.

Sizer dies are mild steel and case hardened after reaming, there will be no further reaming after that.
