There was a version of the 590A1 which had removable chokes, but it's been discontinued. Does this help: Mossberg Accessory Barrels

I guess I should ask the de rigueur question

What do you want to do with it? If you're just trying to get a tighter pattern, you should probably look into the Vang Comp mods.

The 590A1 has a thick-walled barrel. A competent gunsmith should be able to thread the barrel for screw in chokes for you.

Vince: My 590 came with a 20 inch barrel threaded for ACCU choke tubes. I have the ghost ring sights, parkerized model, synthetic stock, and it came with a modified screw in choke. You should be able to find one from any Mossberg supplier.
