Good buckshot to use in my 835?

I've been having issues with my mossberg 835 locking up every time I shoot it where I have to take the barrel off to get the hull out. I found an old thread on here that covered this exact problem so I know now that I need to find better ammo. What brands should I give a shot/ steer clear of? I've tried a few flavors of Winchester and all have failed miserably. I haven't shot anything else through it.

You'll really need to try several to finds the one(s) that function AND pattern well in YOUR gun. I would buy 5-round boxes at first; once you find the ones that physically work, buy some more of those and see how they pattern for your use

I hope I don't have to look too hard, I already have 6 or 7 boxes laying around with 2 shells taken out.. I have only tried one brand so far though so hopefully whatever I try next works. From what I read my issue is with the brass on these shells expanding too much for the extractor to move it or the case splits causing the same problem. If I knew beforehand what brands use better quality brass with a lower probability of over expanding, it would def make my search a bit less frustrating.u

In addition to using good ammo, polish that chamber. Even cheap ammo will extract from a well machined and polished chamber.

Shift over to Federal's and Remington shells.

Many of the fail to eject problems come from Winchester ammo, the Value packs are number one on that list.

Should you burnish the chamber use OOOO steel wool wrapped around a dowel rod and lube with any light oil, ATF comes to mind right now.

Ok. Thanks for all the info so far guys, I'll keep you posted on results as they come. I'm gonna try those brands and some more before I resort to polishing the chamber, not that I'm opposed to doing so but because time is a luxury I don't have a whole lot of. If you guys all agree that I should go ahead and polish it out anyway, then I will. In this case should I only use the above mentioned 0000 steel wool or should I start with something coarser, maybe some sandpaper? If so what grit? I have something like 400 grit along with some 1000 and 2000 grit that I used to polish feed ramps on a few pistols..

Polishing feed ramps and such requires only 400 grit .Anything more is just for show .Please don't use a Dremel !!

and no I do better work with my hands anyway, no dremel for this

So hornady critical defense 00 buck produced the same results.. Really starting to lean toward the chamber polishing..

Polishing the chamber can easily be done with some oil, some 0000 steel wool wrapped around a wooden dowel with the dowel chucked in a cordless drill
Nice and easy, no need for 40,000 rpm
