CCI caps
I bought 8 cans of CCI caps from Bass Pro.I must have had a bad batch.
They would not fire. Now that,s a bit of money.I e-mailed CCI about the caps & they got right back with me. They ask for the lot number & I sent it to them.He E-Mailed me back & said there was a problem & will replace them. You can't ask for better than that.I have shot CCI caps for over 30 years with out problems. Crap happens, but when a company makes it right with you,you can't ask for more. Thank you CCI! TatarTott |

My BassPro was out of caps when I was there last week. I wonder if they had already pulled em. The clerk gave me the ol' story about "Some guy came in here right before you and bought 2000". . . . . . That guy again!!! One day I'm gonna get up earlier and beat him to the store!!

I can tell you this.Bass Pro sucks when your looking for black powder stuff.
There more a fishing & boat store. There prices have gone up, & I wish Cableas would open more stores like Bass pro has. Cableas is a much better store hands down. Tatar |

But if you want inlines, overpriced Pyrodex or 777 pellets, and bullets with plastic patches, it's definitely your store. I was looking for flints for a flintlock pistol I had picked up somewhere and all they had was sawn agate flints, about 12 bucks for a blister pack of two flints. |

I buy from BPS only when I have to.
Which is when I can't get caps or powder over the counter anywhere else.
Prices way out of line. Dick's Sporting Goods is even worse. At both places the person behind the counter knows ZPS about black powder revolvers. I did get a great deal on my black powder Cattleman at BPS though.

I just bought CCI 10 and 11 mag yesterday. I guess I'd better try some quick.
Sure hate to get out in the bush thinking I have a tin full and no pow. |

It may not be displayed on the shelf and need to be asked for but that's still a feather in their cap. Last edited by arcticap; July 27, 2012 at 12:04 AM. |

Ms only has one Bass Pro. They don't sell real bp or at least don't list it online.

The problem with buying real BP in todays time, is insurance.
I have a gun store I go to offen.I ask them why real BP is so hard to find now days. He told me insurance companys worry about fire, but will cover it, but with a much higher rate, then with just smokless. Tatar |

Insurance may well be part of it but the main reason is Government regulations on storage these days.
