CC from AZ to CA??
I have a CC permit from AZ.
I'm planning a trip (by car) to California. Can I carry legally once I cross the border into CA? I've heard you CAN carry in CA, but not with a loaded firearm. This seems more than a little crazy, as I would not have the protection I would normally have when I carry in Arizona. Does anyone have a little insight into this question? Thanks,

NO. youre CCW wont transfer over to CA. Hell CA citizens cant even get a CCW. CA is the least friendly Carry state in the nation. If carrying in your car, it need to be locked, and separated from loaded magazine.
Then again it may depend on the county youre traveling to, where are you planning on visiting? |

Travelling to CA
I will end up in Palm Springs, CA. If I have firearm in a locked case and ammo is not in same place does that make it legal or is that still a problem?
Thanks,

Gun needs to be unloaded in a locked case with the ammo seperate... Avoid having loaded mags, even if they are seperated from the gun in a locked case...

Not very friendly CA
Thanks to both of you for the information, even if it is not what I wanted to hear.
