I'm so old I spell out words like "you" and "are" and use punctuation even when sending a text message. Mrs. Peace (my first grade teacher) would whack my knuckles with a wooden ruler if I didn't. I'm afraid she'd come back from the grave to get me again if I dared to not do it even today.

I'm 63 in a few weeks unless the Lord calls me home before then.

FWIW, the weighted average of those 3,348 respondents comes to 50 years and 2 months. To be honest, that's a tad younger than I would've guessed.

Sorry folks, but having a very small percentage of the 144,000 members give their age in this thread is hardly going to lead to the average for all members. Even the birthdate given when registering wouldn't be accurate either. Believe it or not, people do fabricate that date when they register. You would be surprised to see how many members were born on January 1, 1970.

The average in the poll at castboolits linked by 243winxb is going to be about as close as we can get here also. Our membership may be a bit younger than that poll indicates, but not by much.
