Barnes 62gr Grenade big enough for coyotes?

My step-son just bought a .243 1-10" barrel for his Encore and I thought I'd make him some reloads for his birthday. He liked the You-Tube video of groundhogs exploding using the Barnes Grenade but at 62 grains are they big enough for coyotes? Seems like they blow up prior to any meaningful penetration but someone hear probably knows for sure. I use the 70gr Nosler BT for myself. Thanks.
