The fellow who is organizing Mas Ayoob's New Class in S/AZ is coming to Las Cruces

To visit his niece at NM State. I signed up for the LFI class so he will give me a day's instruction free. Dan Southard a retired Army NCO who is a LFI III grad and say's he is in love with corneredcat.

I called and he said that Mas will announce it soon in one of the major magazines. Right now it looks as if the instruction will be May 17th to the 20th and will update the old LFI I class.

Dan Southard is a true gentleman from the old school, with some amazing personal history. He probably doesn't realize it, but he's one of my heroes.

(Think, an intelligent version of Forrest Gump -- someone who was there when ...)

Don't let him get started on his war stories. He'll raise the hairs on the back of your neck and have you laughing at the same time. Especially, don't let him tell you why he hates communists. I'm still haunted...

I spoke to Mr. Southard this morning. He spends Thanksgiving morning at the Tucson VA hospital with an AMVETS group just visiting other vets. I'm looking forward to meeting him. He comes to Las Cruces often as he is involved with H S wrestling and Kevin Marks is a friend of his.

Well we're finally getting together Monday the 28th in Las Cruces. He will train 2 from Ft. Bliss and myself. The Ft. Bliss guys were his students at Ft. Huachuca which is in AZ.
