Mossberg 535

So, recently a friend of mine recieved a Mosberg 535 turkey gun as a graduation present. Great gun, and as a long Mossberg fan I appauled his new weapon, however, he has recently had a problem with the weapon.

When he cycles the action, the bolt carrier will fail to retrieve a new shell from the magazine tube and thus not feed the shell into the chamber, and once the action is completed said shell will be pumped out of the chamber, unfired, in essence. According to Mossberg custom service, this is a common occurence.

Anything my friend can do?

Thanks.

Strip down that receiver and clean, oil, and reassemble. Then report back
