I use the hand held one with the strips. It works perfect.
You should get the strip loader to go with it though. I thought about the bench model but I figured it would take up too much room.

RCBS Auto Priming Tool, Bench Mounted 09460

I have used on for 37+ years with no problems and no explosions because of their tubes. I am extremely careful...
It can be had, today, for around $70 and is well worth the money.

Excellent piece of equipment. To me it has a great feel, moreso than the built in primer arm.

I have used one for over 30 years and never consider anything else. I am sure the various others are OK but I don't see how they can be an improvement over this one.

I prefer the Hand Priming Tool. If you get into the primer feed tubes you might as well just prime on the press and be done with it.

I respectfully disagree with this statement, based on my experience with priming with my RCBS Rockchucker press. I found priming with the press to be more or less unsatisfactory. There was a lack of feel for seating the primers that I did not like. I could not tell very well whether the primer was seated correctly, not enough, or crushed somewhat, causing me to inspect every case to be sure it was primed correctly. This was in the late 70's and there was not as many priming tools available then as there is now, and I decided the RCBS Auto Prime was the best one for me. I would do the same thing today. There is nothing wrong with the hand primers; I just like the RCBS better. I acquired a Dillon press in the mid 80's and found it did better than the Rockchucker in priming, so I sometimes prime with it. However, I still consider the RCBS the best I have used.
