C&R eligible - or as time goes by so quickly
I have just been reminded how time goes by so quickly and guns and preferences by the general public in firearms is changing. The guns that I always adored as a little kid are now C&R eligible!
When I look at my Anschütz rimfires, I have many C&R rifles and even my old Vixen from 1962 is soon falling under it. I still think of C&R weapons in terms of Lugers and milsurps. |

Good point.
Some forget the 50 year requirement; the weapon doesn't need to be on the "list". |

tobnpr,
the 50 year requirement is indeed often overlooked and many firearms are unnecessarily transferred through a regular FFL. I wanted to remind everyone here in this subforum of that. DennisCA, thanks. I really love those older rifles, particularly the Anschütz rimfire rifles. The quality of that bygone era is amazing! |

I was thinking about this the other day also. We sometimes say the 1911 hasn't changed in 100 years, but do you realize how close some of the modern guns are to entering C&R status? When were the first production AR-15s produced? AKs imported? Norinco M14s? Some of them have to be just around the corner.

As time goes by, there are many guns added to the list. I am into quality guns and my SIG P210-4 qualifies.
My beloved K-22 is C&R eligible since 10 years! My Korth will be in 7 years. |
